Welcome Class of 2026
University College Utrecht is thrilled to announce the admission of 243 talented students to the Class of 2026, with selections made from a pool of over 1,100 candidates.
Our admissions committee was extraordinarily impressed by the breadth of talent and depth displayed by our applicants. The newly admitted class represents 48 nationalities, hailing from 50 countries, and more than 200 high schools. Approximately 67 percent of the admitted class consists of international or non-Dutch citizens. The most represented countries in the Class of 2026 are the Netherlands, the United States of America, France, Germany, and Spain.
University College Utrecht is committed to ensuring that students and their families have access to our institution. Through important initiatives like the UCU Fund, supported by our ongoing Giving Back, Growing Forward campaign, we strive to help meet admitted students’ demonstrated financial needs without loans. This year, we allocated scholarships to 10 eligible first-year students, covering parts of their campus and tuition fees and enabling them to join our programme.
Members of the Class of 2026 will benefit from a personalised academic experience rooted in a broad liberal arts and science education and the opportunity to join an extensive list of both UCU and UU student-led committees and initiatives. They will also enjoy their full programme on campus, as the pending campus relocation remains postponed.
We are excited to already have the Class of 2026 on campus and look forward to seeing the impact they will have on our community and the world in the years to come.
