Stadsschouwburg Utrecht
What does the future taste like?
The interactive programme ‘Voorproevers’ offers you a glimpse behind the scenes of the future. At the Stadsschouwburg, you’ll gain an insight into the changes in our food culture and the latest technological developments, and there’ll be plenty to sample.

Botanical Gardens
Movie amongst the plants
To mark our 5th anniversary, the Botanical Gardens are opening their doors for two special open-air film evenings. Take a seat amongst the greenery, enjoy the summer evening and be inspired by films about science and nature.

Utrecht University Library City Centre
Lustrum Festival
Two days of music, exhibitions, talks, dance and poetry walks, both inside and in the courtyard of the university library in the city centre. A cultural festival taking place over the Open Monument Day weekend. Featuring performances by the Utrecht Student Big Band and the Utrecht Student Choir and Orchestra, amongst others.

Utrecht Science Park, Minnaert and Koningsberger building
Science Weekend
Experiments, workshops and mini-lectures: for children aged 8 and over, but just as much fun for curious adults. During Science Weekend, the university opens its doors at Utrecht Science Park. Ask scientists questions and discover how research works.
