UGlobe Consultancy wants you!

Are you a motivated student who wants to use your skills and knowledge to help solve concrete global challenges in an interdisciplinary, professional setting? If so – the UGlobe Consultancy is looking for you!

Currently, the UGlobe Consultancy is looking for masters and advanced bachelor students and life-long learners – in any discipline – to work on a project on decolonising the university in local, regional and international context and from a multidisciplinary perspective. This project is commissioned by the chairs of Global Citizenship, Global Learning and Inclusive Education of the Centre of Expertise Global & Inclusive Learning at the Hague University of Applied Sciences.

The UGlobe Consultancy is a three-month project that gives students the chance to combine their academic research skills with direct client contact and cooperate with students from diverse disciplines on a research project that directly aids a client. By doing so, the UGlobe Consultancy provides students with valuable professional experience. The UGlobe Consultancy is an initiative of the Utrecht University Centre for Global Challenges. You can read about past editions here: 2018/2019 and 2017/2018. Dr. Henderson will supervise this year’s team in collaboration with the UU Decolonisation Group.

The deadline for applications is 6 January 2020. The project will start in February 2020. Students are expected to commit 6-8 hours a week to the project. You will finish the report by the end of April 2020 and we will close the project with a seminar in which you present the results of your research. You will receive a certificate upon completion of this project. We have a limited number of places for this project and students will be selected based on their motivation. Keep an eye on this space for updates about future projects!

For more information or to submit you application no later than 6 January 2020 (a short motivation letter and your CV), please contact Dr. Laura Henderson (L.M.Henderson@uu.nl).
