Toine Pieters appointed as CLARIN ERIC Ambassador

Prof. Toine Pieters (Freudenthal Institute/Pharmaceutical Sciences) will be appointed as Ambassador for CLARIN ERIC for two years, from 1 May 2019 to 30 April 2021.

CLARIN (‘Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure’) makes digital language resources available to scholars, researchers, students and citizen-scientists from all disciplines, especially in the humanities and social sciences, through single sign-on access. CLARIN ERIC is the European branch of the project.

The aim of the CLARIN Ambassadors programme is to raise awareness about and encourage participation in CLARIN ERIC in disciplines and comunities all over the world that are not yet fully integrated in CLARIN. As an ambassador, Prof. Pieters will help spot opportunities for promoting CLARIN within relevant networks and institutions.
