The role of the cerebellum in body image

The Experimental Psychology department is seeking a motivated PhD candidate for a project investigating the role of the cerebellum in the formation of a person’s body image.

Using VR-based multisensory illusions and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques, you will investigate how the brain combines visual, tactile and proprioceptive signals to maintain an up-to-date representation of the body. This project will be carried out with non-clinical groups and with clinical populations with an altered body image, such as people with anorexia nervosa.
