Special Collections in the Dutch TV show Kijken met Caspers

In the TV programme Kijken met Caspers (AVROTROS), artist and conservator Charlotte Caspers takes us on a journey through the wonders that surround us. 

The episode broadcast 1 November was devoted to butterflies, with special attention for the work of entomologist and artist Maria Sibylla Merian (1647-1717). Andrea van Leerdam, curator of printed works at Special Collections of Utrecht University Library shows Charlotte Caspers the beautiful hand-coloured copy of Merian's  Metamorphosis Insectorum Surinamensium (1705, , which is housed at Special Collections.
