Seven Scholarship of Teaching and Learning projects awarded
The Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning (CAT), in collaboration with Utrecht University, supports lecturers and staff who wish to explore their own teaching practices. This is achieved by promoting professional development and educational innovation, for example, through the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) grants. These grants provide financial support to lecturers conducting systematic research into their teaching practices.
In December 2024, seven projects were selected by the CAT review committee. Lecturers can apply for a budget of up to €10,000 for small-scale projects, such as implementing new teaching methods or improving lectures. These projects are carried out following thorough research into their own teaching practices and the challenges that arise.
