Save and share files securely with SURFdrive

SURFdrive is a personal cloud storage service developed in response to a joint request from the Dutch universities. As an employee of Utrecht University, you have direct access to SURFdrive. Your files are stored in the Netherlands and are under the university's own control. This makes SURFdrive much safer than public storage services such as Dropbox.

With SURFdrive, you will be able to access your work files any place, any time, and choose with whom to share them. Plus, with up to 100 Gigabytes of storage space, you will no longer have to rely on USB sticks. You can also use SURFdrive on your iPad at meetings, for example, or to collaborate on ideas, research and projects. Important: SURFdrive is exclusively intended for work-related data.

Of course, safety is a shared responsibility, and you should always store and save paper and digital documents with due care. Do not use SURFdrive to save personal information, such as your citizen service number or bank account number. And be sure to secure any devices you use to prevent improper use by others. Most devices can easily be secured with a PIN code or password.
