Places available for the Statistics for Humanities beginner's course on March 18 - open to staff from all faculties

Due to the cancellation of this workshop, the Centre for Digital Humanities is now organizing a replacement workshop for the course Basics of Statistics – Hands-on training day for humanities teachers/researchers on Friday March 18. Staff members of all faculties can register.

Workshop content

Data are becoming increasingly important in the humanities. In this one day course, given by prof. Hugo Quené, you will learn the basics of statistical data analysis. The instructor will start with core concepts: sample, data. Next, he will discuss the principles underlying statistical descriptions and analyses: variationprobability. You will learn how to describe statistical properties of data (centre, distribution), how to choose an appropriate statistical test, and how to perform a simple statistical tests.

Admission is free, but register quickly, as spots are limited.
