Philosopher Michael Sandel receives honorary doctorate of Utrecht University

Utrecht University confers an honorary degree to the American philosopher Michael Sandel. Marcus Düwell, Professor of Philosophical Ethics, serves as honorary supervisor. The award ceremony will take place on March 26, during the 378th Dies Natalis of Utrecht University. Besides Sandel also psychobiologist BJ Casey receives an honorary doctorate.

Sandel receives an honorary doctorate for his contribution to the philosophy and the way he makes philosophical reflection to current ethical issues accessible to a wide audience.
