Oscar Gelderblom receives prestigious prize for best article in Journal of Law, Economics and Organization

Prof. Oscar Gelderblom (Economic and Social History) and Prof. Joost Jonker (UvA/IISG) won the Oliver E. Williamson Prize from the Journal of Law, Economics and Organization (JLEO).

They won the prize for best article in 2017 with economists Prof. Giuseppe Dari-Mattiacci and Prof. Enrico Perotti.

The article is titled The emergence of the corporate form. JLEO is a prestigious journal in the field of Law and Economics. This is the first time that the prize of 1500 euros has been awarded to scholars working in the Netherlands.

Oscar Gelderblom

Oscar Gelderblom is a professor in financial history, and also connected to Institutions for Open Societies - an interdisciplinary research area of Utrecht University focused on the development and expansion of healthy open societies everywhere.
