Natalia Petrovskaia wins JIAS essay prize
Assistant Professor in Medieval Culture Natalia Petrovskaia has won the biennial essay prize of the Journal of the International Arthurian Society (JIAS) for her essay Peredur and the Problem of Inappropriate Questions.
As described in this editorial by Leah Tether and Samantha J. Rayner, Petrovskaia's essay was selected by Prof. Andrew Lynch, International president of JIAS, who noted that the essay was especially
clearly and carefully argued and that it operated
within a very complex context. He also praised
the thoughtful way it engages with the terminology of postcolonial studies.
The essay Peredur and the Problem of Inappropriate Questions has been published in volume 9, no.1 of the JIAS.
