Meet up on the South China Sea (video)

Alex Oude Elferink participated in a meet up on the new VPRO documentary of Ruben Terlou, "Ruben langs de Zuid-Chinese Zee". 

The meet up took place at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam on 6 January 2026 and was also broadcasted via livestream. The recording is online at the website of Pakhuis de Zwijger. 

The documentary of Ruben Terlou, is broadcasted on Dutch national television. Alex Oude Elferink provided some law-of-the-sea background at the meet up, which also included a sneak preview of some scenes of the documentary and had Ruben and editor and researcher Frederique Melman talking about its making and Clingendael researcher Sense Hofstede’s sharing views on China’s South China Sea policy.
