Maarten Goos wins H2020 grant for ‘INBOTS’

Prof Maarten Goos (Utrecht University School of Economics) has been awarded a Horizon 2020-grant for the research project 'INBOTS'. Horizon 2020 is the EU Research and Innovation funding programme aimed at securing Europe's global competitiveness.

About INBOTS

The main challenge that INBOTS wants to overcome is the lack of a clear understanding of robotics that is limiting current efforts to successfully implement new technologies operating in close proximity to humans. The overall objective of INBOTS is to create a hub that can bring together experts to debate and create a responsible research and innovation paradigm for robotics.

To this end, INBOTS provides a platform to establish a working synergy between four pillars that covers all stakeholders in Interactive Robotics: the technical expertise pillar, the business expertise pillar, the ethical, legal and socioeconomic expertise pillar, as well as the end-users, policy makers and general public pillar.
