Conversion in the Renaissance

According to the jury, the nominated books contribute to the understanding of and appreciation for the theatre of Shakespeare and his contemporaries. The jury believes that Stelling's book shows how theatre dealt with conversion from the late Middle Ages onwards. Because it was such an important subject, conversionĀ had a great influence on the imagination in the Renaissance.
