Last chance: Internationalisation of your students at home? Join the COIL programme for teachers

Nowadays, we are constantly in online connection with others around the world. Imagine using that connection in your teaching by bringing students from different cultures and institutes together in one (virtual) classroom. This is possible by using Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). To implement COIL principles in your teaching, you can participate in the COIL programme from the Centre for Academic Teaching and Learning.

Develop a course with an international partner

In a COIL course you will develop a course together with an international partner-teacher. The course content is addressed from different cultural perspectives. Students from different countries collaborate online and work on their intercultural skills, encouraging an open attitude. Reflection is an important component here, for the students, but also for the teachers.

Practical information

The COIL programme consists of six meetings and starts Thursday 10 October 2024. In each meeting, experts will share knowledge and experiences that will help develop/re-design a COIL course.

Please note: The deadline to apply has been extended to 17 September.
