Keimpe Algra appointed Faculty Professor

As of 1 July Prof. Keimpe Algra will be Faculty Professor. His appointment by the University and Faculty Board concerns the new chair in History of ancient philosophy and science. As of 1 September Keimpe Algra will also be the new dean of the Faculty of Humanities.

Keimpe Algra has published widely on Hellenistic philosophy. Among other things, he is a member of the editorial board of the journal Philosophia Antiqua. From 2003 to 2006 he was Dean of the former (sub)Faculty of Philosophy and from 2007 to mid-2013 he was Vice-Dean for Research of the Faculty of Humanities.
