In Memoriam: Peter Roepstorff

The Bijvoet Centre for Biomolecular Research is deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Peter Roepstorff. Peter served for many years as a valued member of our Scientific Advisory Board, providing us with great experience, wisdom and scientific vision.

Peter was an internationally renowned pioneer in mass spectrometry and proteomics, known not only for his groundbreaking contributions to the field, but also for his generosity as a mentor and advisor. He was a thoughtful and constructive voice, always combining scientific rigor with a genuine interest in the people and research behind the work. 

We remember Peter as an inspiring scientist and a trusted advisor, and a warm and collegial person. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues worldwide. He will be greatly missed.
