How to ensure effective co-creation in public-private partnerships
Register for Impact Day 2024
Collaboration between academics and civic initiatives is not always smooth sailing. Yet they can learn from each other and strengthen each other in their ambitions to achieve social impact. On 21 November, Utrecht University is organising a special day to explore how we can encourage this co-creation. What should we take into account and what previous obstacles can we avoid in the future?
Why does collaboration between researchers and civil society partners actually make sense, and how does collaboration work in practice? Are scientists and social workers actually talking about the same thing when it comes to impact? Do we have the same expectations about the time in which things can be realised? What role can citizens' initiatives play on societal problems? How can they make optimal use of existing institutions, and how can institutions stimulate and support these initiatives?
Based on three case studies on the subjects inclusion, social entrepreneurshop and culture, we will explore these and other questions on Impact Day 2024. In addition, this day is also mainly about networking and getting to know each other, about understanding what matters to civic initiatives and social enterprises and that of academics.
Impact Day 2024
Impact Day 2024 targets social enterprises, academics, civic initiatives and policymakers in the city of Utrecht and its surroundings. It is organised for the first time by the Bottom-up Initiatives for Societal Change platform within the research network Institutions for Open Societies. With this afternoon, we want to promote exchange between these groups.
