Highest point reached for the Veeducatorium at De Tolakker

At Utrecht Science Park, the highest point has been reached on the Veeducatorium building at De Tolakker. This marks an important milestone in the construction of the new research and teaching facility for the faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The facility is being built on behalf of Utrecht University by MedicomZes, in collaboration with BRI Groep.

The Veeducatorium brings together education and cutting-edge veterinary research. Among other things, the building will feature research facilities up to ABSL-II level. These facilities impose stringent requirements in terms of biosafety, biosecurity and hygiene.

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

Construction is taking place next to De Tolakker, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’s farm. This requires ongoing consultation with the users and careful organisation of the construction site.

Now that the highest point has been reached, the construction project is moving into its next phase. Over the coming period, work will focus on ensuring the building is wind and watertight and on the further completion of the facility.
