Elisabetta Manunza invited as speaker to EPP Hearing on public procurement in the context of COVID-19

In light of the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the European Union has launched recovery instrument Next Generation EU. For the recovery package to help the EU economy, it is vital that the funds that have been made available can be allocated rapidly in the Member States. Public procurement procedures are essential in ensuring this rapid distribution of funds.

Prof. dr. Elisabetta Manunza, professor of International and European Public Procurement Law at Utrecht University and co-founder and co-director of the Centre of Public Procurement (UUCePP) is invited to share her expertise on public procurement. She will participate as an invited speaker at the Expert Hearing of the EPP Group in the European Parliament. The Expert Hearing will address the current challenges for public procurement procedures. Elisabetta Manunza will share her assessment of the challenges that public procurement procedures were faced with during the beginning of the crisis.

The EPP Hearing will take place on Thursday 15th of October 2020.
