Early Childhood researchers from UU and UMCU share knowledge during REACH conference
On 11 and 12 December, the Early Childhood community within the strategic theme Dynamics of Youth organised the REACH conference. The aim: to bring together researchers in the field of Early Childhood and share experiences and knowledge.
During these two days, more than fifty researchers presented their work to colleagues from all faculties of Utrecht University and UMC Utrecht.
Emotional face processing, play, music and speech
Three inspiring keynotes were delivered by multidisciplinary presentation duos. This format led to new insights and engaging discussions about emotional face processing, play, music and speech.
Interaction
Throughout the conference there was a lot of interaction, which led to new and valuable connections between researchers associated with Dynamics of Youth and the Early Childhood community.
Special issue
The organisation looks forward to building on the insights gained and the momentum created. One of the first steps is the publication of a special issue in the journal 'Infant and Child Development' (Wiley), together with the researchers who presented their work during REACH. The special issue will highlight research on early development from multiple perspectives, providing a varied picture of the current challenges and insights in the field.
