Contesting Governance Group - Student Assistant Position (2024-2025)

The Contesting Governance Platform within the Strategic Theme of Institutions for Open Societies (IOS) seeks to hire a student assistant who can commit to one day per week for a period of one year (2024-2025). The position will start on 1 September 2024.
The primary responsibility of the student assistant will be supporting the coordinators of platform and core team members in the organization of events and running of the platform. This involves managing the platform email account, booking rooms, corresponding with platform members, attending meetings, making visually attractive posters and flyers and providing the core team with different forms of administrative support. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, great team work, an interest in interdisciplinarity and the themes that the platform works on.
Requirements
You are currently enrolled as a student at any Dutch university, in a degree that is relevant to one of the themes addressed by the Contesting Governance group;
An excellent command of spoken and written English;
A professional attitude and behavior that includes reliability, a pro-active mindset, integrity, precision, good communication skills and collegiality;
Excellent organizational skills and ability to operate independently;
Enthusiasm!
