Climate Resilience and Sustainability Editors’ Award for Gerbrand Koren

Dr. Gerbrand Koren, assistant professor at the department of Sustainable Development, has been awarded the Climate Resilience and Sustainability Editors' Award by the Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS), jointly with Prof. Dr. Wouter Peters of Wageningen University&Research.

RMetS: The nominees were selected for their dedicated service as guest editors of Climate Resilience and Sustainability (CRS). They have always handled their assignments with care and speed. Specifically, they jointly handled almost all the manuscripts of the CRS Brazil Special Issue, which had been published already and highly commented. In recognition of their outstanding contributions, both are awarded the CRS Journal Editors' Award.

Koren is very happy to receive the award: The published papers show the success of international collaboration and teach us valuable lessons about Brazil in a changing climate. I enjoyed the editorial tasks and getting exposed to these new scientific findings.
