Call for Research Engineering projects: parallel computing
Does your research software require a lot of computing power or does it take a long time to run? Do you suspect your code could be much more efficient?
The Research Engineering team makes its expertise available to Utrecht University staff to develop efficient parallel computational workflows. Until 15 June 2026, you can submit your application to be considered for the contribution of our specialists to your research. This way, you can experience how research engineering can improve your work and help you make more impact with your research.
If your code handles workloads that could be sped up by distributing tasks across available compute resources, then this call is for you. Research engineers can help you identify parallelization opportunities, distribute workloads effectively, and cut runtimes significantly.
Criteria for application
To qualify for support in your research, the following should apply:
- You are a researcher at Utrecht University;
- You have time to be involved in the project;
- You would like to work according to FAIR principles;
- You need the Research Engineering team for expertise in creating parallel computational workflows.
