Do you have a good idea to engage a general audience with your research? Do you lack the funds to realise it? The Public Engagement Seed Fund affords small grants to researchers with a good plan for an innovative, research-related public engagement activity.
For this call we prefer public engagement initiatives in order to participate during the 'Weekend van de Wetenschap' 2020. The seed funding amounts to a maximum of €2,000 per application.
‘Weekend van de Wetenschap’
We prefer applications dedicated to the national science event ‘Het Weekend van de Wetenschap’. With your public engagement activity you will participate in the public science event on Sunday 4 October 2020 or at Betweter Festival on Friday 2 October 2020.
Important is that the audience experience science. Obviously, feel free to use your public engagement activity also in other situations or events than ‘Het Weekend van de Wetenschap’.
Looking for inspiration?
View the activities during last year’s ‘Weekend van de Wetenschap’ at Utrecht University, inspiring examples of public engagement, the programme of Summer School Junior, or an example of a citizen science project.
The call for this Public Engagement Seed Fund opens Monday 24 February 2020 and the closing date is Monday 6 April 2020.
