Call for Practitioners' Labs 10th EMES International Research Conference on Social Enterprise - deadline 20 August 2025
The EMES International Research Network, in partnership with the Rotterdam School of Management of Erasmus University and the IOS platform Bottom-up Initiatives for Societal Change at Utrecht University welcome proposals for Practitioners' Labs for the 10th EMES International Research Conference on Social Enterprise on the theme Scaling Through Communities: The Role of Social Entrepreneurs and Social Enterprises in Boosting Societal Transitions.
The conference will take place from 3 to 7 November 2025 and it promises to be a special edition in several ways. First of all, it will take place in two different cities: after the start in Rotterdam (3-5 November) and conference excursions on 5 November, the conference will be continued in Utrecht on 6 and 7 November 2025. This conference being the 10th edition it will also mark an important anniversary for EMES after celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2022 as well as for the SE field overall.
The conference aims to convene scholars worldwide involved in social enterprise, social innovation, social entrepreneurship and cooperative research across the globe. On the second day of the conference (4 November in Rotterdam), special attention will be paid to Practitioners' Labs, where societal organisations can discuss with researchers on issues they are facing on a daily basis.
The organisers welcome proposals for such Practitioners' Labs; proposals should be submitted ultimately 20 August (extended deadline!). Full details are to be found in the call (see link at the bottom of this page).
