Presentation of the first copy to Judge Tomka

On 17 May 2018 Alex Oude Elferink participated in the launch of the book Maritime Boundary Delimitation: The Case Law; Is it Consistent and Predictable? (Cambridge University Press, 2018) at the Peace Palace.

The event was hosted by the Peace Palace Library. He edited the book with his colleagues Signe Busch and Tore Henriksen of the K.G. Jebsen Centre for the Law of the Sea (JCLOS), UiT, The Arctic University of Norway, and (co-)authored three chapters.

After an introduction of the JCLOS by its director, Tore Henriksen, Alex Oude Elferink introduced the book and presented a first copy to Judge Peter Tomka, former President of the International Court of Justice. In a panel discussion chaired by Tore Henriksen, Yoshifumi Tanaka, one of the contributors to the book, and Alex Oude Elferink reflected on the main theme of the book project and engaged in a discussion with the participants to the book launch.
