Daniel Vanmaekelbergh is appointed new scientific director of the Debye Institute for Nanomaterials Science with effect from February 1, 2018.
Daniel Vanmaekelbergh replaces Marjolein Dijkstra, who served as the institute’s scientific director for three years. Also effective February 1, 2018 board members Krijn de Jong en Peter van der Straten will step down from the board. Petra de Jongh has agreed to join the board. Last year, with effect from September 1, 2017 Laura Filion replaced Celso de Mello Donegá as managing director.
The new board of the Debye Institute for Nanomaterials Science consists of:
- Daniel Vanmaekelbergh (Condensed Matter & Interfaces), scientific director
- Laura Filion (Soft Condensed Matter & Biophysics), managing director
- Marjolein Dijkstra (Soft Condensed Matter & Biophysics)
- Petra de Jongh (Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis)
