The tuition fee may differ from the fees mentioned above in a few special circumstances:
- You have already obtained a master's degree or a similar degree from a Dutch institution of higher education. There are a few exceptions to this situation; more information is available here.
- You have enrolled for only part of the academic year. Please contact Student Services for more information.
- You have already paid the statutory tuition fee to another institute of higher education in the Netherlands for the same academic year. You may be eligible for a reduction of the tuition fee at Utrecht University. Please contact Student Services for more information.
Funding your studies
If you meet the requirements regarding age, school type and nationality, you can apply for so-called studiefinanciering.

Tuition fees
The tuition fee for this programme is € 18,332 for the academic year 2023-2024 and € 20,043 for the academic year 2024-2025 (non-EU/EEA institutional fee).
The tuition fee may differ from the fee mentioned above in a few special circumstances*:
- you have Surinamese or Swiss nationality
- you receive a UAF grant (for refugee students in the Netherlands)
- you meet the nationality requirement for a government study grant from DUO
The required tuition fee might differ from the fee mentioned above if you have enrolled for only part of the academic year. Please contact Student Services for more information.
*Please note that these exceptions only apply if you have not already obtained a master's degree or a similar degree from a Dutch institution of higher education after September 1, 1991. There are a few exceptions to this situation; you can find more information here.
