The programme admits a limited number of students each year. If the number of selected candidates exceeds the number of available places, the Admissions Committee will select only the most eligible candidates. Ranking takes place on the basis of the criteria mentioned on the admission and application page.

Yes, you can, as long as you will obtain your Bachelor’s degree before the start of the Master’s programme.
Can I apply to the Epidemiology Postgraduate programme before obtaining my Master’s degree?
Yes, you can, as long as you will obtain your Masters degree before the start of the Master’s programme.
It is not necessary to have passed the English test at the time of your application. The results can be submitted later, but have to be submitted before the start of your programme.
You can find more about our entry requirements on the admission and application page.
In case you have a degree from a non-Dutch university, our International Students Admission’s office will verify whether a non-Dutch academic degree is equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree at a Dutch research university. All international Bachelor’s degrees are evaluated based on standards set by the NUFFIC. If your degree is not assessed as equivalent to a 3-year Dutch research University degree or as a bachelor from a University of Applied Sciences, you are most likely not eligible for admission. Please note that this doesn't apply to the Epidemiology Postgraduate programme.
After you submit your application, the Admissions Office will check your qualifications, whether you paid your application fee (if applicable) and whether your application is indeed complete. If so, you will receive notification that your file will be evaluated by the programme selection committee.
You can generally expect a decision within thirty working days after the application deadline if you are applying with a programme with a fixed capacity. A decision for programmes with unlimited capacity will be made within twenty working days.

If deficiencies are found which can be remedied with a course load of 30 EC, you may be eligible for a Pre-Master's programme for specific Master's programmes. The Admissions Committee decides if you can do a Pre-Master’s programme and determines which courses are required in your specific case. This means it is an individual/tailored programme, rather than a fixed set of courses.
It is not possible to apply for a Pre-Master's programme. You need to apply according to the regular Master's application procedure. The Admissions Committee can decide to offer you a Pre-Master’s as outcome of your application. In that case you get conditionally admitted for the Master’s programme (under the condition that you first successfully complete the Pre-Master’s programme).
