Academic staff
Core lecturers of the programme include:
- Dr Mira Scholten is an Associate Professor of EU law enforcement, a member of the Utrecht Centre for Regulation and Enforcement in Europe (RENFORCE) and is the programme leader of this Master's. Mira has been teaching various bachelor and master courses, including capita selecta course 'Enforcement by EU agencies' (supported by blog), Research Thesis Track, supervision of markets, enforcement and agency design, and have been involved in Summer school on EU law.
- Dr Federica Agostini is Assistant Professor in the International and European Law Department at the School of Law. Her research predominantly focuses on the role of law in mobilising capital markets toward sustainability goals. She also specialises in corporate governance and EU financial regulation.
- Dr Zlatina Georgieva is an Assistant Professor in Competition, Regulation and Governance at the Utrecht Universtity Law School. She is also a co-coordinator of the 2-year European Governance Master's programme at the Utrecht University School of Governance.
- Dr Olia Kanevskaia is Assistant Professor of European Economic Law and Technology at Utrecht University and researcher at the Utrecht Centre for Regulation and Enforcement in Europe (RENFORCE). Olia's research and teaching interests revolve around international and European economic law, trade with disputed and occupied territories and institutions of global governance.
- Dr Timo Klein is Assistant Professor. He is Involved in the following course(s): Advanced EU Competition Law and Economics I, Advanced EU Competition Law and Economics II and Capita Selecta: Economics of EU Merger Control.
- Dr Kostas Serdaris LLM is assistant professor within the Department of International and European Law at Utrecht Law School. Konstantinos specialises in EU financial law, with particular focus on capital markets law, corporate finance and corporate governance. He is also particularly interested in regulatory theory, especially with reference to EU law and its integration processes.
- Dr Jasper Sluijs is coordinator of this Master's and associate professor in competition law and regulation. His research focuses on state-owned enterprises and the role of state ownership in sustainability challenges. His research is empirically and interdisciplinary oriented, and he likes to collaborate with economists and governance scholars.
