Degree from a Dutch university of applied sciences (hbo)

This is a selective Master's programme. You will be considered for admission to the MA in Global Criminology if you hold a Bachelor's degree from a Dutch University of Applied Sciences and can demonstrate:
 

1. A relevant Bachelor’s degree

Bachelor’s programmes that most likely meet the requirements: 

• Criminology
• Social Sciences (Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, etc.) 
• Law
• Other (Economics, History, etc.)
   

2. Sufficient criminological and methodological prior knowledge
   Through the UU Minor Introduction to Criminology.
    
3. Motivation and match with the programme
   A clear and well-founded motivation for applying to this Master’s programme, demonstrating the applicant’s  suitability for the programme and alignment with its academic and research focus. This will be assessed based on the application file and during the selection interview.

Selection procedure
The Admissions Committee reviews all applications and assesses whether applicants meet the entry requirements. The Committee also evaluates each applicant’s potential to successfully complete the Master’s programme within the prescribed time frame. Admission decisions are therefore based on a comprehensive assessment of each application. Consequently, meeting the minimum entry requirements does not automatically guarantee admission.
Based on this initial assessment, the Admission Committee determines which applicants will be invited to participate in the selection interview. Candidates who are invited will be assessed on their suitability for the programme. The outcome of the selection interview will be taken into account in the final admission decision.

There is no pre-Master’s programme available.
