Core lecturers of our programme include:
- Dr Peter-Jan Engelen, LLM, associate professor. His areas of expertise are Financial Management, Entrepreneurial Finance, Corporate Social Responsiblity, Sustainability, Governance and Venture Capital. Peter-Jan teaches topics in Corporate finance.
- Dr Raginee Baruah, assistant professor. Raginee’s research work explores the usage of different management controls as a ‘inter-dependent system of controls’ to select and motivate workforce. In addition, her job-market paper explores the role of executive compensation in addressing control problems that go beyond the traditional incentive concerns. Raginee teaches in the topic Financial Statement analysis.
- Dr Yilong Xu, assistant professor. Yilong's research primarily focuses on the area of Behavioral and Experimental Finance, Wealth and Ethics, and Fundamental Aspects of (Financial) Decision-making. He teaches the courses Multinational Corporate Finance & Next Generation Finance
- Dr Bilge Karatas, assistant professor of Finance. Her main research areas are Financial Economics, Monetary Economics, and Financial Crises. She teaches in the course Financial Markets and Institutions
- Professor Frank Verbeeten, professor of Accounting. Frank’s research focuses on the use and effectiveness of performance measures (including measures that capture sustainability activities and intangibles), the design of control systems and the role of the CFO and the finance department in organizations. He teaches in the course Management Control Systems
- Dr Abdulkader Kaakeh, assistant Professor. His research focuses on Entrepreneurial Finance, corporate finance, and small business decision-making. He teaches the course Valuation in M&A.
