Year 1

In your first year, the emphasis is on acquiring general theoretical knowledge of education and learning, and on integrating theories from the theoretical courses with methods from the methodology and statistics courses in assignments during the research practicals. You will follow theory courses on learning, neuroscience, teaching, and learning and behavioural problems. You will also follow four methodological courses.

Year 2

In your second year, the emphasis is on applying theoretical and research skills in designing and evaluating learning environments, and in conducting research in the field of education and learning. You will follow one theory course on interaction in learning environments, two elective courses, and two research seminars. You will also write your Master’s thesis.

Below, you will find an overview of courses from the current academic year of this Master's. This overview is meant to give you an idea of what to expect. The course offer may change in the coming academic year.

During the Master’s I did an internship assisting in the inTin research project. I also did a research internship in a different UU team, were I assisted in the analytical coding phase of a literature review.
