Leonie - testimonial
During this study, I specialised in climate reconstruction and will be searching for a role as an environmental consultant after graduating.

I’m from Germany where I did my Bachelor in geosciences. This is where I got particularly interested in interdisciplinary challenges and therefore decided to apply to the “Earth, Life and Climate“ master at the UU.
I enjoyed the variety of courses (also from different masters) I could choose from in this programme and with this further increased my interdisciplinary knowledge. In my second year, I made use of the option we have to follow an internship to get some hands on experience for my professional career. During this study, I specialised in climate reconstruction and will be searching for a role as an environmental consultant after graduating.
What I specifically enjoyed in the ELC master is the freedom we have in choosing from different courses and the freedom in dividing our ECTS. You can choose to follow more courses to increase your knowledge, get more working experience through an internship or do more research during a guided research project.
