About us
Interdisciplinary character
A unique strength of Future Deltas is it’s interdisciplinary character. Different lines of mono-disciplinary research on deltas under pressure are combined, to establish an integrated approach necessary for the understanding and management of deltas worldwide. The interdisciplinary approach creates a wealth of opportunities for frontline innovative research. The research themes and topics defined lie at the interfaces of crucial fields of research, including geology, morphodynamics of coastal and river systems, biology, ecology, human geography (spatial planning, population dynamics), and socio-economic environmental and water law governance.
