Join your fellow UU alumni in Singapore on Sunday 25 March for an evening on the impact of social entrepreneurship.
The speaker during this event will be dr. Frank Hubers, UU alumnus and research fellow at the Asia Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy (ACSEP). In addition Margreet de Lange, Programme Manager International Affairs at Utrecht University, will be present to give more insights in the partnership of UU and NUS.
Social enterprises use business models to solve social problems. They find themselves on the continuum between the regular profit-oriented enterprises and the social-oriented charity organisations. They have grown in popularity in Asia, with Singapore experiencing a rapid increase in the number of social enterprises in the past decade. In this session we will explore the (potential) social impact of these social enterprises and discuss their limitations.
After the programme there will be drinks and bites available and plenty of opportunity to (re-)connect with fellow UU alumni in Singapore.
