On Thursday 8 June, the Utrecht University Centre for Medieval Studies (UUCMS) will organise its annual colloquium. The colloquium will present a varied and exciting programme of talks by students and researchers and a ‘book market’ showcasing recent publications by the Centre members.

Citizenship discourses

The event will also feature the yearly UUCMS lecture. This year, the lecture will be delivered by Professor in Late and Medieval Latin Els Rose, with the title ‘Citizenship Discourses in the Early Middle Ages: Reflections on a Research Project 2017-2023’.

Other speakers include Mícheál Ó Flaithearta (Celtic Languages and Culture), Lia Costiner (Art History), Erik Goosmann (Mappa Mundi Carthography), as well as student speakers Stefan Dingemans (History) and Anne ter Welle (French Language and Culture).
