Connecting the Dots: Single-Cell Views of Chromatin, Identity, and Regulatory Logic
Robin van der Weide started his group in January 2026 at the UMC. The van der Weide Lab investigates the regulatory logic of the genome by combining single-cell multimodal genomics with computational approaches. The group develops methods to simultaneously measure multiple regulatory layers, such as histone modifications and transcription factor binding, within individual cells. By connecting these chromatin changes to transcription, the lab aims to decode the mechanisms driving cellular function.

Dr. Thanasis Margaritis
Single cells go spatial
Thanasis Margaritis has over ten years experience as a single-cell biologist in functional genomics. He  leads the Single-Cell Genomics facility at the Princess Máxima Center, which makes state-of-the-art single-cell technologies available to support researchers to study pediatric tumors.
