The Unusual Suspects – Missing and Marginalized Actors in Nature-Based Solutions
An Urban NBS Afternoon
Nature can contribute to solving societal problems with solutions for social cohesion, biodiversity, or viable business models. But how can we get everyone to the table and think about how we can create nature-based solutions together and for everyone? To make nature-based solutions inclusive, we need you!

Join us if you work with or for actors that are...
… usually missing in these discussions:
- Educational institutions: universities, museums, schools, kindergartens
- Health institutions: hospitals, retirement homes, facilities for people with disabilities
- Religious institutions: e.g., churches, mosques, synagogues (different religions), graveyards, other spiritual organizations
- Financial institutions: Insurance providers, banks, pension funds
… usually are marginalized by other actors and not heard:
- Youth/Elders
- Low-income residents
- Unhoused individuals
- Migrant communities
- Individuals with disabilities
… or overarching groups that have the power to enable exchange: Urban Planners, researchers, municipalities, etc.
You’re not on this list but want to join? You’re very welcome!
