The next Dutch Annual Linguistics Day, co-organised by AVT, LOT and Anéla, will be held on Saturday 2 February 2019. The Dutch Annual Linguistics Day combines the AVT TIN-dag (Linguistics-in-the-Netherlands day) and the Anéla TTiN-dag (Applied-Linguistics-in-the-Netherlands day). The Grote Taaldag will take place in Utrecht, at Drift 21 and 25. The Grote Taaldag also hosts the annual Taalgala, where the AVT/Anéla Dissertation Prize is awarded.
The registration fee is €25 for senior AVT/Anéla members, €20 for junior AVT/Anéla members (PhD students, (Re)MA students and unaffiliated linguists) and €50 for non-members. The fee includes lunch, coffee and tea, and drinks afterwards. You are kindly requested to register and pay the conference fee by bank transfer by 11 January 2019 at the latest. For registration, please go to the AVT website; payment details are provided on the registration form. Onsite payment is only possible in cash.
All AVT and Anéla members are invited to submit an abstract for the Grote Taaldag 2019. Abstracts should be submitted no later than 10 December 2018. They should not exceed 170 words, and must be submitted through the AVT website. Members can submit no more than 2 abstracts (1 as a first author, 1 as a co-author). Talks last for 20 minutes, plus 5 minutes for questions. In case you do not receive an automatic confirmation of your submission, please contact Jenny Audring. The available slots in the programme will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
The programme will appear on the website in January and will be sent to AVT and Anéla members by e-mail.
