The life sciences are increasingly expected to deliver results with a positive impact on society. These expectations coincide with growing unease among researchers about publication pressure, disappointing reproducibility and limited career perspectives for young scientists. On an afternoon symposium on Friday 24 February we explore what this all means for young researchers. Speakers include prof. dr. Frank Miedema (UMC Utrecht dean, Science in Transition) and prof. dr. Anna Akhmanova (professor of cell biology, ERC Synergy laureate).
