Thursday May 9th: Virunga film documentary screening
- We will be screening the documentary film 'Virunga' to raise awareness on the current biodiversity crisis, and touch on other topics such as green militarization, resource exploitation in conservation areas, and complex political and economical issues which come into play when it comes to conservation efforts.
Friday May 10th: Cuttingsday
- For this session, we will be sharing knowledge with you about how to make your own cuttings (pieces of a plant's stem or root, used to make clones of that plant) in the form of a small workshop, while giving away some and letting you trade your own.
Thursday May 16th: UU Talk about invasive plants vs tropical islands
- For this UU Talk - especially organized for the Student Biodiversity Weeks - we have invited Elizabeth Haber to be our speaker. She is a researcher who explores the ecological and even social impacts that invasive plants have on biodiversity on tropical islands.
Friday May 17th: Green Bootcamp Challenge; Tiny Forests & Mushrooms
- Together with Green Living Lab - Healthy Urban LIving, we have planned an inspiring session including forests and mycelium, a grow-your-own oyster mushroom challenge and a meeting with circular entrepreneurs making profit from waste.
