SIM Peter Baehr lecture: The relationship between the rule of law and human rights, by ICC Judge Beti Hohler

This year's Peter Baehr Lecture will be delivered by Judge Beti Hohler of the International Criminal Court. She will speak on the relationship between the rule of law and human rights. 

Judge Beti Hohler is a practitioner and scholar of international criminal law, with extensive experience at international courts and rule of law missions across the globe. She will speak on the relationship between the rule of law and human rights. As international courts and their officials face increasing scrutiny, political pressure, and sanctions, Judge Hohler brings not only deep professional expertise but also direct experience of the contemporary challenges confronting international justice. 

The annual SIM Peter Baehr lecture celebrates the founding of the Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) of Utrecht University and commemorates the late Peter Baehr, one of SIM's former directors and an eminent human rights scholar.
