On the 24th of May 2019, the very first edition of ROEM Utrecht will take place. During this evening, student rooms in Utrecht will be transformed into exhibition spaces.
Young makers and art historians will join forces. In that way, ROEM Utrecht tries to make the connection between the Bachelor program Art History at Utrecht University and the various programs supervised by the HKU (Hogeschool van de Kunsten Utrecht). Visit the rooms of the Art History students to view the mini-exhibitions, consisting of the HKU-students’ artworks. Don’t expect a white cube, but explore art at home, within an intimate setting.
ROEM Utrecht is an initiative aiming at making a connection between theory and practice. Students have noticed that there is little to no contact or exchange between the Bachelor program Art History at Utrecht University and the programs supervised by the HKU. The organization is convinced that students can inspire one another and teach each other valuable lessons.
