R Cafe

Due to the exam period, the University Library has a restricted access policy. Make sure you bring the required identification to get access.

Do you want to enhance your R skills, meet other R programmers or ask questions related to R? Take your laptop with you and come to the R Cafe!

During this informal meetup, we will help each other with R programming, data handling and cleaning challenges. If you don’t have an issue, you are also welcome at the R Cafe, just to work on your code, or do learning exercises we prepared for you.

Showcase: Tips and tricks in RStudio (starts at 15:30, 20min)

RStudio is a powerful interface for R. RStudio contains many useful features to simplify and speed up coding. Examples of these features are code snippets and keyboard shortcuts. Code snippets are text macros that are used for quickly inserting common snippets of code. In this showcase, we explain how to use and create code snippets and keyboard shortcuts. By defining your own code snippets and keyboard shortcuts, you can write R code lighting fast! After the demonstration, we share our code snippets.

The showcase will be brief (20 minutes), with room for all your individual questions afterwards.
