Public event: REPAIR. Learning Cultural Justice from the ABC Islands
On 22 September, the project REPAIR: Learning Cultural Justice from the ABC Islands comes to an end with a public event with presentations about cultural justice by speakers from the Caribbean and the continental Netherlands.
The project is led by Utrecht University and engages with the enduring impact of colonial legacies on cultural heritage. It explores how reparative interventions developed in the ABC Islands can inform broader debates on heritage practices, cultural justice, and repair.
The project is in collaboration with cultural heritage organisations across the ABC Islands and the Netherlands: Cas di Cultura in Aruba, Fundashon Históriko Kultural Boneriano in Bonaire, the Association of Museums & Heritage of Curaçao in Curaçao, and the Eye Filmmuseum in the Netherlands.
