PhD defence: Soccer: Moulding the Middle East and North Africa

James Dorsey will defend his thesis Soccer: Moulding the Middle East and North-Africa on Tuesday the 22th March of 2016. 

It deals with the close relationships between sports (especially soccer), politics and society in the the Middle East and North-Africa. A summary of his thesis is available on the Dutch event page.

James Dorsey is senior fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore and director of the Institute of Fan Culture in Würzburg. He is affiliated to the Utrecht University School of Governance (USG) as an external PhD candidate.
