Programming Café: October 2026
Taking control of AI-assisted research code
Share knowledge and work on programming projects in a community setting. This month's theme is about finding AI's place in your research programming.
Presentation by dr. Qixiang Fang, ODISSEI Social Data Science team
AI coding assistants can generate working code in seconds, but as projects grow, it can become surprisingly difficult to understand what was implemented, whether it matches your research design, and what changed after each new prompt. In this hands-on session, we will look at practical ways to stay in control when using AI for research programming.
What to Expect
An informal meet-up with fellow programmers from all skill levels, faculties and programming languages. As a community we will share knowledge about programming through short presentations, work on programming projects, and help each other with challenges in working with code and data.
